It is proposed to start the working day at 8:00 in a number of organizations in Tashkent

The Tashkent City Administration is submitting for public discussion a proposal to set the working hours of the city and district administrations, city departments, and their subordinate units from 8:00 to 17:00.

✔️ The duration of the working day will not change — employees will start work one hour earlier and finish one hour earlier.

Today, the working day begins at 8:00 in many social institutions, some state organizations, as well as in many enterprises and organizations. From this time, active life begins in the city, and the population turns to state and city services. Therefore, it is important that the city administration and its subordinate services are also ready to serve citizens starting from the same time.

Harmonizing work schedules will also make it possible to coordinate issues requiring the participation of several agencies more quickly.

⌛ Analysis and modeling of traffic flows by the Road Traffic Organization Center show that distributing the start times of work helps reduce the load on the road network during morning peak hours. When the new schedule is introduced, lunch time will also be organized accordingly, which will make it possible to distribute more evenly the load on traffic flows and public catering facilities throughout the day.

It is important for us to hear the opinion of the capital’s population before making a final decision.

If the proposal is supported by the population according to the voting results, the Tashkent City Administration will submit it in the established manner for consideration by trade union organizations for approval.
